Roshangar Undergraduate Persian Studies Journal

Sasha Duwan
Sasha Duwan is an Architecture student at the University of Maryland, minoring in architectural history and theory. She is specifically interested in cultures of the Middle East, their histories, and their relationships to their architectural communities. She grounds her research in the philosophy of place, Spatial Turn, and its interaction with displacement. She wants to investigate how people can have a sense of foreignness imposed on them through architecture and city planning, due to their marginalization.
